Project: Impact of bycatch on the fate of New Zealand’s common dolphin (Delphinus delphis) population
Elise's project focuses on population viability analyses of common dolphins in New Zealand waters. Common dolphins are subject to fisheries bycatch, yet to date, it is uncertain what impact this has on population viability. Elise's research will utilise recent findings on reproductive parameters of common dolphins to model the population persistence under the pressure of fisheries bycatch in New Zealand waters.
